What is it about the 12-18 age group these days that they have these blood curdling hysterical scream-ups at a moment's notice with no sense of shame about it at all?
I'm sat here in my studio and across the way is a housing estate. There's someone over the way there who is screaming ridiculous babbling nonsense at a pitch and rawness that would have my throat lining hanging down my front like a meaty sleeve.
I find at least one night of the week will be split assunder by some adolescent who's been upset by her boyf and needs to scream, like an explosion of broken glass and razorblades, for about an hour and a half, right there in the street.
Drives me nuts. That's all.

Whenver we are forced to go to the mall for something, my wife and I notice that these kids are so lame. Not dangerous, or impulsive, or particularly rebellious. Just really really lame.

i find the best thing to do is stick your head out the window and shout "SHUTTTTT ITTTTT!!!!!!" (it's best to do this in your dressing gown with curlers in your hair and a fag hanging out your mouth)
they won't shut it but at least you've alerted them to your annoyance. and you'll get some understanding of the joy of shouting loudly in public.

Over here we're in the grip of a media storm about kids being out of control to the point where they are a menace and dangerous. And true enough there's a case of a teen gang murdering an innocent adult or a rival teen gang member every month now. But its not that they're dangerous or evil, its just that they're fucking thick as shit and they get more feedback and stimulation from their Xboxes than from responsible adults.
God help them if law and order ever break down. They're gonna need their penknives when the middle-aged march out to take revenge.
