Can I just say..? Navigating from the frontpage to the content isn't exactly intuitive, Alistair. At least, could you make the 'step in..' box clickable? The design overall feels 'bitty' like it's been hodge-podged together over a couple of years (which, I guess it has). There's nothing wrong with the content or mechanics as such - just that it doesn't all fit together super-flush - I think it's the clash of the old school design-for-white-background, which now has to work on black.
Nothing bad, necessarily, I just think it's scrappier than your work, which is lovely as always.

Interesting.
The clicks were meant to almost act as stepping stones or dance steps.
I was almost waiting for people to say "too many clicks"I initially had no BG image but got bored of all the blandness.
When I have tiled my studio and settled in I will overhall the whole site.

I may well do that. I like the fact people can click to older images but yes perhaps you are right. Doesn't help with search engines either
