Redraw it in Illustrator so the ends match up smoothly.

is there an easy way to ensure that? would i just make horizontal guidelines in illustrator? how do i get it exact?

sorry to be blunt but... draw it exact :)
and in this case i'd suggest a much wider and deeper tile so that the repeat is not obvious.

try this site: http://k10k.net/pixelpatterns

you could just take it into photoshop, redraw it in ps. Offset by any number of pixels.. make sure the lines match up, then offset it back to the original.

----------------open the Transform window, with the Direct Selection tool (white arrow) select the point on the left, write down the x,y-coordinates. Select the point on the right you want to line up with the point on the left, insert x,y-coordinates. Repeat for each point. Then tweak the handles to make sure the curve is nice and smooth.

You can't seamlessly tile that as it is because the exit right doesn't match the enter left and to make tham match you'd have to change the lines. You can flip horizontally and vertically but it will still be obvious where the tiles join because you'll get a peak or valley effect at the edges.
If you want to create a tile like that which has no discernable evidence you need to make the exit points on the right match the entry points on the left. Furthermore, the line of approach and strength of curve will also have to match otherwise the eye will detect a buckled appearance even if very slight.
- so basicly what I just said?neverblink
- Yes, but using many more words.********

You could also create a narrower 'bridge' tile that sits between the two and brings the lines back togetehr with some smotth curves... if you absolutely have to keep the original tile as it is...?

is this thread a joke?

how the piss do you expect to tile that?
like everyone has pretty much said – the entry and exit are different, can't do it.

Just draw one yourself. Turn your grid on and work in wireframe.
Snap!

this has to be one of my favourite questions ever on NT.
along with "does anyone know how to make the file size smaller without actually making the file size smaller?"
