Anyone going this year? Or better yet, who has been and could share a bit about it?
We entered a few pieces and might consider going if they make it into the show.

i say go. it is supposed to be a blast, especially if you have pre-arranged meetings w/ contacts, clients, related groups, etc.

I live right in the middle of SXSW.
I just can't afford to go.But I'll be walking around the streets begging for change along with my 10,000 friends.

Go see the band... "The Valley Arena" they are my close friends and really good musicians. Great live show as well.

I used to make fake lanyards and stacks of wrist bands every year out of cardboard and and give them to my friends so they can get into the show. Each band only plays about 5-6 songs at the most so a fake wristband is about all it's worth anyway.

If you can't afford it...volunteer for one of the festivals and use your volunteer pass to get into the other one
I use to do it, and it was great
or most of the bands give free/cheap shows during the day, so go then
