Shandon Melvin...in house Creative Director of the NFL? This video is from last year, but I'm sure he's responsible for this year's logo as well.

bowl doesn't look quite right, but a refreshing departure from the norm.

Is the type intended to look like it's fucked up or hand drawn? Either way it's piss-poor. Somebody please fix it, it's giving me the fear.
- Point50
wow, that BOWL really is a tad bit fucked.
- just the BOWL????OSFA
- you're right OSFA, allow me...
I'm not really digging the southwestern style coral pink, nor the random dark blue...Point5 - ...zoom star that seems to be doing nothing rather than sending shockwaves thru the bowl... The perspective, or...Point5
- ...lack thereof, is all wrong as it shifts freely between the roman numerals. Also, I'm not too...Point5
- ...sure why there's a block of that dk maroon color behind the first roman numeral "I", but it appears that the state of...Point5
- ...AZ acquired some square mileage from New Mexico for this awesome event also known as XLIIPoint5
- damn dude you went crazy pro on me!!!OSFA

Can they just cut the roman numerals already? No one learns that crap anymore.
(Sorry if I offended any romanticists...)

Rocky 5 plus Rocky 2 equals Rocky 7: Adrian's Revenge!

bowl should be skewed to match the rest, but ai don't thinks it's bad looking - that doe's look like an unfinished draft though. I would like to see the treatments it is intended for - like animation on screen with the gloss look to it

I like the shooting stars.
And I really like the treatment on the XLII

I think it sucks and they need to rethink there approach. Angles man, angles.

Was discussing thie logo with my colleague at work,
the bent background we figured out is supposed to be
the shape of Arizona. We agreed that the state shape gets lost,
as most of the distinguishing Arizona shape detail is lost b/c the
"X" hides most of it. I think the colors are great, and is a bit refreshing than the usual red white and blue or American pride style
logos of the past.- I was wondering what the shape in the background was...good call.dbloc
