This morning I booted up my machine and I was greeted by a flashing earth and after a minute it booted into my machine.
I looked online and some people say it's happened after a power outage and others say its if your trying to boot from an external device.
power outage might have happened but the other 2 computers in the office were fine. the external device is not possible.
anyone else ever had this happen.
ps. im running leopard as well.

it is trying to boot from a network drive. you need to repair permissions from disk.

Go into system Pref, Choose Startup Disk, make sure it's on Mac HD. I had the same problem and that fixed it. If that doesn't work I don't know!
