Oh I don't know Wolfboy, it had its moments, like when, like... that bit where... that... the... when... and Bruce... did the... when the... no, you're right... it was fucking terrible, as was DieHard3 and DieHard2.
And the first one.

ive enjoyed every one of them

Die Hard is still awesome. Great, honest action movie with hilarious moments.
Die Hard 2 was same concept, different location which made it weaker. Which is why John McTiernan decided not to direct it.
Die Hard with a Vengeance was a great fun ride. Awesome casting with the funny chemistry between Willis and Jackson. Irons makes a great bad guy. Different angle, which is why John McTiernan returned to direct.
Live Free or Die Hard, a very close second place behind the first one. Over the top in some cases, but a nice honest movie fitting the franchise. Lots of fun.
Had to post as this is my favorite action movie franchise :)

they're supposed to be horrible!

Yeah, I quite liked the first one to be honest, I was just being facetious. Not a big fan of the rest though. I was massively dissapointed by 4.0 becuase BW did so many interviews and editorials about how he was only doing it becuase it was a rock solid piece of cinema in its own right rather than a rehash of the same old Die Hard concept. It strayed from the formula a bit, true, but it was a festival of chesseball none the less. The only good action franchise is Bourne in my opinion.

Great point, Bourne is solid all the way.

"The only good action franchise is Bourne in my opinion."
Yeah the Bourne trilogy is brilliant I agree!

Bit off topic, but what did you think of Casino Royale?
I'm not a huge Bond fan to begin with, but the new movie was a pretty solid action movie.

There's only one thing that has disappointed me about the Bourne movies, in the last one when he's trying to make an escape and he gets on that motorbike... trials/enduro style of bike... and then he bunnyhops up a seven foot wall with about a three foot run up. I'm not saying that's not physically possible... clearly it is and the stunt man who did it used a bit of broken kerbing as a launch. What I didn't like about it was the convenient set up and the fact that Bourne did it, first attempt, no problem. I know he's good and highly trained but at that moment I lost the ability to suspend my disbelief. I would have been more impressed if he had made the jump, failed, fell on his arse in the dirt and had to get up and keep on running. The fact that he just did that, and the kerb was conveniently broken, and nobody got int he way made that tiny two second moment totally James Bond for me.
- Fair point... He's trained to kill and be extra peceptive etc etc, but do tricks on a motorbike etc... probably not! :/RoomFive

Casino Royale for me was a disappointment. It was franchise improvement by numbers. A committee derived film to "address the James Bond Brand issues in light of new action movie developments such as Bourne".
