symbols in Illy

  Does Illustrator have the capability to link symbols across several documents?

  For instance - I have a symbol made of the main nav that I'm using across the rest of my comps. If I make a change to it, I want it to be reflected when I open up the other documents.

  Not using Symbols, but if you make an EPS of your icon/symbol - then place the symbol into all your comp files as a linked EPS file - all you need to do is go back to the EPS and change that - which will then update in all the files where it has been used.
