is it worth going? it looks pretty nice but it doesn't look like a lot of pieces in there and unfortunately moma is a bit on the expensive side to just see one exhibit...(i mean besides the permanent stuff)

Puryear is my favorite artist of all time. Saw a show at the Hirshorn in DC when I was 12 that set my life on a different course. Sadly I won't be able to see this one. Hopefully they'll be another exhibit soon.

He is a decent and good man and when he stays on line as an artist with the vagabond, the rebel, the nomad: he's great. But when he misfires, especially with scale, the work becomes bloated and the sheen of craftsmanship can't rescue it.
