what exactly are you looking for? i'm no expert on php but that site you mentioned doesn't seem to have any special php-only features. It looks to me pretty standard and not very tech heavy at all...

all that is going on here is the path to the different index.htm pages are being passed as variables to the main url.
Why? I can't say. Seems simpler to link to the destination files the regular way.
There is nothing too crazy going on here code wise. unless there is some administrative CMS stuff going on that is going on in the background.

The main extension is Pear, which is bundled with php:
http://pear.php.net/Also for 'faster coding of sites' check out frameworks like:
http://www.cakephp.org/
http://codeigniter.com/- man i love cakePHP. I am literally coding faster and enjoying it.geralddean
- Which (Cake or Igniter) would you recommend first, for folks with little understanding of PHP?mikeim

PS, That forest site might be running Drupal. A common oversight with installing drupal is not setting up a mod_rewite to change urls from index.php?/foo/bar/ to just /foo/bar/

Nah its not drupal, (drupal is ?u=pagename). but drupal is not a bad place to start it you want a Good CMS. But the page you picked can be easily be done with html pages and (css) absolute positioning on the navigation.
But ironically on thisisforest's contact page, they say they built the site with indexhibit which you can find @ http://www.indexhibit.org/, so I guess install that.

im looking for something similar to the INDEXhibit.org
but not as server heavy. mainly just want something that will help me code something like that on my end and then i would just throw it online like a standard site.
