the gigs for next summer were announced a day or two ago, a few big dates round the UK and the tickets (according to the news on the radio) would be released on Friday morning at 10am.
So how the fuck are the London show's sold out today? How do people find out about these early sales? I never received any emails about it and I'm pretty sure I'm on the mailing lists.
Anyhoo, if you wanted tickets and you've not got them yet you should get on waste.com and see what's left.
you never know, they might be releasing a shed load more on Friday morning, but I've played safe and bought a pair for the Manchester shows.

The people who find out are the people who radiohead want to find out. The fact you missed out just makes you want it more.
It's the Wii effect.

Those people probably hang out at the official website, forums, chat rooms, etc. One time I hung out in a chat room for a site that wasn't open yet, and got invites and lots of exclusive information.
But it is weird that you were on the mailing list and didn't receive info. Must be the extra, extra hardcore fans.

Damn them then, I even paid some money for In Rainbows, I should be a person they want to know. I paid over £3 with the credit card fee.
I want to be in the exclusive clubs.

Radiohead gig is not my idea of fun...
I get the Radiohead thing, but it's not for me.
I read they got an average of £2.70 per album for their last album, which must be far more than they would have got on parlophone, fair play to them for that. This does shift the balance of power between the artists and the record companies (if only slightly)

Dublin sold out too but I know that ticketmaster are selling tickets tomorrow at 9am!

I got Radiohead tickets last year by coming into ticketmaster booth on the sale opening hour. I got PJ Harvey in Manchester this year and The Police ones too. I thought I was good at this game, then missed the announcement of PJ Harvey gig here in Dublin Dec19th and realized two days after they started selling. I had to pay a scalper on eBay an amount I don't want to remember..

Don't worry, there will always be a scouser outside the gig 'sellun' tichhetts...'

can we start a petition to pass a law that shoots scalpers on sight?

I'll sign that as long as I don't get tickets for the London gig because i'll more than likely sell the Manchester tickets I bought cause they are on the Glastonbury weekend.

Oh, great.. There's a Dublin gig, sold out as well! I'm sure no ticket master, who am I fooling..
Ticketmaster will be selling tomorrow too, so there is a chance.
I need to be online 9am sharp with a shiny credit card in my holster.
