Does anyone know why the anchor point is offset, by default? Any way to change this setting so it's points are zero'd?

i guess you should be able to open transform in under the object in the timeline and do it manually

Yeah, that's what I do- I just don't want to do it every time. It didn't make sense to me that it would be like that by default.

the anchor point by default is centered to the dimensions of your layer. if your layer is 300x300 then the anchor point is set for (150,150).
inputting zero values will move the anchor point to the top left of your layer.

I'm assuming you're using the null object to have other objects childed under it?
a better way (and a work around to your problem) is to use a solid layer as the null object. You can then enable that solid layer's adjustment layer button resulting in a null like object with its anchor in the center. If ever you need a visual reference in your comp as to where the null is, you can turnoff the adjustment layer button and it shows up as a regular solid layer.

Yeah, my AD does it that way, I just thought there was an alternative. Thanks, guys.
