I woulnd't post your name out there for everyone but it's interesting to see who uses what.
Out of everyone I know..
-Long time friends,
-New friends,
-Family Members,
-Co-workers and
-Clients...
Everyone always has and still does use aim.I don't know if I even have yahoo IM.

Never actually used AIM - is that the AOL thing? I signed up ...ooft.. about 8 years ago (?) and got pissed off with it because it wouldn't let me choose my preferred name.
Having used ICQ and Messenger previously, I now rely exclusively on Skype - everyone I know uses it.

Has anyone heard of AIM Lite?

The UI was developed by a friend of mine.

AIM + YAHOO

I use Trillian as it interfaces with all the others... i.e. AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, etc. You only need to have this one to use all of them at once.

I'm using the free version A.T.M.- P.S. Theres' also a Portable Version that runs on a USB drive.ghandolf

+ GTalk

I use MSN, although I don't like the limit of emoticons i can use in it's mac version. aMSN is too slow, never heard of Trillian before but i'll give it a go.

I have accounts for all of them and use trillian to view them. Also use gTalk because it works thru the corp. firewall.

Trillian rocks - using it for AIM, Yahoo, MSN & gtalk (via the Jabber plugin). Though I had to muck about with the port settings to get through the corp firewall for AIM and Y!

I only use AIM. And by AIM, I still rock a version of AIM 4.8 that I tweaked with resHack so it is completely no frills.
I don't mind GTalk, but I only know like two people on it - and I only like it in its own application and not through the GMail interface.
Plus after ... well a really, really long time using AIM most of the people I talk to on a consistent basis have it.
I like to think I created the first Away Message which was not, "I am away from my computer right now." And thus changed the world as we know it.

^^ check that out.. no frillsiwlyfel - Yea, I have it does technically have frills and I have a huge gripe with the rollovers on my list. Hopefully it gets better.flavorful
- I say that, because I can't find a way for AIM 4.8 to give me more info space, as I am still limited by its capabilities... I have a lot to say.flavorful
- PWNT and IRONIC!flavorful

For work I used to use MSN, but I felt that was too inter-personal (I really break the mold for computer geeks I guess) and stopped using.
Also, I never ever give out my AIM info to anyone at work, or new people I meet (but somehow they always find me, I guess that's the pains of being hilarious and posted in everyone's away messages and infos all the time ... am I right?).

Just Skype, I guess it's more popular in Europe though.
