  It’s not so much that she was on fire; I guess people have been on fire before, willingly or unwillingly; the unusual thing in this case was that the woman seemed to be feeding the flames. I didn’t have to be an expert to know that this woman, whom I didn’t know, and never would, was dead. She just didn’t know it yet.
