i do not know dreamweaver (or html) very well...i was wondering if there was a way to have the design mode actually read my css? i know this is probably and idiotic question......sorry

Just drag and drop the css file in to DW

he style tags are actually in the html file....just not reading them in the design preview window.....they work when i publish.....just did not want to do that everytime......

Hmm strange. What do you mean with "preview" The half section of the DW?

so there is no css file? that would rule out path reference issues.
post your code here.

you should be able to just view file locally, instead of uploading the file.

yeah....there is a code / split / and design option for the editor....in the design section (which should replicate the actual page) eveything is in times and blue underlined links....no css. i just found that F12 opens it in firefox, so i'll just use that to finish this project......thanks for the reponses.....like i said.....i do not know html....so i'm probably being a dumb head

i don't think it refreshes automatically for inline CSS. try saving the file.

or try ctrl+F5 in browser - FF

or use a browser window. refresh it as you keep saving changes to preview
