Ive been using Joomla 1.5... the interface design alone on the backend is top class.... the usability is easy for the clients and the sites support CSS and web 2.0 compliant and most of all its all open sourc, free, and there are a host of modules, extensions, et all to expand the websites functionality.... can another do more i ask?

go with drupal. The initial learning curve is quite steep - but seriously, follow these in order and you're a good way there :)

joomla is the result of a bunch of mambo develpers fighting and then branching off. now joomla is suffering the same infighting and it's future is uncertain
