So we were meant to go to Barcelona for a stag but realised the Grand Prix is on the same weekend. cant be arsed with that kind of pricey weekend so Prague is a second option. Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel for 30 people. Not too expensive but not cockroach infested either. Near all the action and preferably with a late/early 24 hour bar
Any tips on nightlife would be great too.
thanks

Hey chief, try to stay in the old town, its in the centre, within walking distance of most of the decent bars/clubs/sights.
Went there on a stag last year, the best man organised apartments for 12 of us, 2 apartments which were big, bright, modern, near everything. You're gonna be eating out a lot so I'd say it'd work out much cheaper and better. Its a great city with lots to do and a shit-load of good bars, so I'd say you're gonna enjoy it. When you heading?

Ah cheers. Going end of april. I'm the best man, so not an easy thing to organise when you're living on the other side of the world in sydney :-) Had a good contact in Barca but the F1 will make it pricey... Apartments could be a goer alright. Can you remember the name of the place?

I went to offf in Barcelona in 2006, it was the grand prix weekend. It wasn't any pricier than usual you just had to book rooms in advance plus there might be extra stuff to do, ie. BMW Sauber set up a "pit stop" for public in the port. I wasn't happy I only discovered it the next day when they were disassembling and packing it. Let me know what room price tag you're thinking about, I have a few addresses I can recommend.
Prague, on the other hand, is lovely and sure will be loads of fun. There's this bar with a sandy beach on the rooftop.. http://komercja.com/praha/#pic=d…- Are you following me raf!

Hey toe_knee,
I didn't book it meself (and of course I was too drunk to pay attention to names, addresses etc etc!) but I've emailed the chap who did book it, if he gets back to me i'll post a link.

Go eat at Radost FX! Vegetarian, but even as a meatlover, i loved the food!

Yeah Barca would be good but if anyone wants to join in late they wont be able to get a room and flights from dublin are already alot more expensive.
I guess around the 80 euro a night mark.. for two nights Fri and Saturday- For 80 pp you'll prolly buy an apt :). How many people you reckon? Mind you Prague tickets will go up as wellrafalski

This bar was pretty good from what I remember, and theres another one around the corner who's name eludes me, but I'll try to remember!

Ok, the former best man got back to me, and I think this is where he booked it: http://www.warsawshotel.com/prag…
I think, some of em look familiar (same kinda layout & decor) so think they're the place. We got two 3-4 bed apts, between us, there was loads of space and extra beds and obviously its cheaper the more people go (cost is spread out). Lemmie know how you get on and if you want any places to go/see etc. Its been a while but I vaguely remember some decent spots!
