First... any resources such as scientific color studies on 'human emotion/interaction w/color' would be greatly appreciated here (even though I don't take much stock in such things as 'style/design/trends' change... one year a color is 'sexy'... the next year it's hideous)...
The colors need to say:
- Please Feel Sorry For Me
- Please Be Pissed Off For Me too...but don't stay angry... get emotional - feel like you want to resolve the situation and not STAY pissedMy initial thought was to go w/a dark 'documentary feeling'... w/a serious editorial tone: grays and white... and one super-in-your-face potent color... like a solid ff0000 red.
What say all of you on this subject of color and emotion? I'm struggling w/the client's mumbo-jumbo... it's not sitting well w/my own personal gut-feelings.

what's it come to when a design forum has a thread on 'dogs' getting more hits than a thread on 'the psychology of color'? :D

I remember reading about the usage of warm colors like red, orange and yellow in fast food restaurants because they make people eat faster.
... my worthless 2 cents.

love this site:
It doesn't go into the psychology of colors too much, but it's a great resource for inspiration if nothing else. Hope that helps.
