Mote reminds me a bit of a heavier "Cocon"... as used by Durex (apt name no? "Cock-on")

Mote is based on hand painted letters. It shows signs of a brush.
FF Cocon is much more the product of a type designer (the great Evert Bloemsma). The letters have similar endings, but the structure is more typographic than lettered. Pronounced: coh-cone, btw.
I love them both.
