Lionel Theodore Dean is an engineer, a designer and an artist, using rapid prototyping techniques (like laser sintering) to produce similar parts as opposed to identical ones, applying biological strategies to industrial design.
The cost is the same, so why produce items that are identical? At any given moment a product may be frozen, creating a unique design, part of a process that makes forms grow, change and mutate.
