Tyleraskew posted GRRRR back in Sept 2002 and I just saw it posted on PBS yet again.

What can I say? GRRRR had me at the action “enter”, no logo, straight forward and right off the bat I am in someone's head that's not mine. Perhaps nothing you haven't seen seen before in terms of originality, but done o' so very well.

The feeling of these inked and pushed threshold illustrations combined with overlapping collages and an endless archive holds my attention just long enough to begin to write this well deserved review.

I had personally tried to create my own portfolio site (a while back) to be nothing more than about the work and attempted to negate the site itself promoting a “no design” environment, but concluded this impossible in that the “no design” concept is very much a design in itself.
