Matt Checkowski is a designer of things for you to watch, read, hold and engage. His work challenges the accepted boundaries of film, television, printed, spacial and interactive media, often interweaving several into a hyphenated experience. He has spoken internationally and has taught workshops on the intersection of design and cinema. Matt's award winning work has been recognized by numerous publications including the New York Times, Metropolis, I.D. and Time, with such clients as IBM, Nike, Dreamworks, 20th Century Fox, Disney, Absolut Vodka and ESPN.

Recent projects include collaboration on the Prevision (dream) sequences in Steven Spielberg's “Minority Report,” a set of IBM Innovation Center Environments, signage and 24-hour content that spans a full New York City block and the stadium experience for the NBA's Portland Blazers.

Matt is currently engaged in several projects and will make his feature film directorial debut this spring as co-director of Summit Entertainment's “The Alibi.”
