Apple Cinema Display 23" or Eizo S2431W 24"?
I can't decide ... what would you buy?

I wish that was the sum of my problems!
Whatever works out cheaper per inch is my rule.

(Nov 16 07, 09:00)Ok sure... I can safely say that both are manufactured by LG phillips and i have both side by side and I can see no difference. For the price and sweet articulation I would still choose the dell.

"Rather than go with LG.Philips LCD (LPL) for the whole lineup, Dell opted for the Samsung LCD LTM240M2 panel"

i have a dell 24 inch, and it's sweet. it's not on the same level as eizo or lacie, but notice the price difference. i work in a school and we have apple monitors. they are also really sweet. the viewing angle is wider on the apple monitors, but everything else is pretty comparable. obviously the aluminum apple display looks better than the dell, but dell was significantly cheaper when i bought it, and it rotates (if you're into that sort of thing). i've calibrated the dell 24" with one of those monaco pucks, and my colors are accurate enough. if i had the money, i'd drop $2200 on the big lacie widescreen, but my prints look good after working on them on my cheap calibrated monitor. i don't know if this helps. i'm just trying to say that both dell and apple make fine displays, but there are better ones out there if you need super precision and are willing to spend the money.
