Good use of Space

hello. i am looking out for websites who use some kind of a "3-d grid" to place elements (navigation, portlets etc.). here's a link to show you what i mean: http://www.gapfilms.de/
my client likes that a lot, but i find it really hard to design.... i would like to give the whole thing the THX1138-white-room feeling.

those 2 examples are really different man, the first one I find it not be something you would like to imitate at all.. unless I'm not looking in the right place...
Not really sure what your looking for, the second example looks really nice, though

what can i say.... my goal ist to create a room in 3d as the backgound/scene of a website and place all elements somehow good in that room. "give it that hall style"
