the strange thing about a photo like that is, that you feel sorry for the dog, not the dead owner.
- wunderbra0

my aunt has this fucking overweight dog that perches it's head on your lap when you're eating. looks sort of like that one.
- mrdobolina0
that dog looks bummed, who's going to feed him now?
It is a sad photo, sure, but dogs really have no capability for human emotions.
- Llyod0

Dobs - I think you give human brains way too much credit. I don't think their palette is quite as broad, but I do feel like animals have the capacity to paint some of the colours of emotion.
- wunderbra0
dogs have a sense of attachment, such as elephants have.
and that may slightly vary from emotions as we know on a human level.
yet we respond with our own emotional perspective.
and detritus, sorry man, i thought that was a bit out of line..sort of broke my evening mood. not nice.
- wunderbra0
i saw in a documentary that elephants from the same large family come together every now and then from far distances as some sort of a reunion, and then they visit the corpses of their loved ones, and display their attachment/respect (whatever you call it)..
for humans, translated to our perspective, that seems like emotion. it is hard to say whether it is emotion, but it could be.
for me a good reason to respect animals and fight severe violations of their well being.
and yes, i am also a vegatarian.
meh.

It was an ironic comment on the symmetrical emotions of grief and guilt - a play on the dog's own conflicting reflections and a prompt to dialogue from the viewer.
I'm sorry you can't see past your anthropomorphic lolcatism to the appreciate the deeper undercurrent of visceral contemplation.
- wunderbra0
yeah yeah yeah
sorry for being in a mood and going along.. thanks for your higher intellectual wake up call.
//i am off to bed.

if dogs don't have emotion... why does my dog LOVE... not like... to play ball?... why does she go nuts when I say certain words?... why does she 'hate' my neighbor... but absolutely recognizes and appears to 'love' my brother when he comes over?
... that's all emotional in a sense... right?... eh... I don't know what to think about this.
