I've looked around a bit, but I'm looking to hear if anyone's done it.
I want some Vista PCs to be able to connect to a firewire 800 drive I have hooked up to my G5 running Leopard.
Anyone know what I can do or if it can be done?
Thanks in advance.

I haven't figure it out yet. I actually can't hook up my printer to the network because of this.
I heard Leopard has printer drivers though...

haven't used 10.5 yet, but in 10.4 open system prefs > sharing and click on windows sharing > start

I'm pretty sure it all has to do with how you format the drive. If you do it on mac it has to be one of the settings to play nice on both mac and PC. .... although that might not work with vista.. I haven't tried yet.

give it a fixed IP w/in the subnet and mount it to a machine with the same.

If it was Apple File Sharing all mounted drives on a remote computer appear in the list of available drives when connecting... but if its over Windows Sharing... Is it possible you just tick the new 'Share' box in the Get Info window of the drive?
If not, you could set up extra Windows shares using 'Sharepoints' or similar software....
