enable sub ftp access in the email user section

I believe you can set them up with a username/password and just check mark the folders they can access. Check the MT KnowledgeBase...

now it just says he has ftp access, but isnt that still that same as my access level? isnt there a way just to allow him to upload to his own folder? under files/directories there is a users thing that adds people to the .htaccess, is that it?

nope! that section would be very helpful if it would come up though! i am going to email/users and adding a user, so it should be coming up like that right? because yeah mine just has 2 pitiful checkboxes :(

i am on a shared-server(ss) so i dont think i can add sub-ftp people, but this article:
http://kb.mediatemple.net/articl…
says their files will be uploaded to home/username/ so does that mean that all of their stuff will be contained in that folder?
- version30
i believe so, yes

sorry for the stupid questions but do i just tell them the user name/password and the server name, and then their stuff should automagically go to that folder right, they dont need to direct their ftp program to it right? thanks for your help v6

also when i try and access that directory it tells my permission denied! is there a permission setting i need to change somewhere to grant access to the admin?
