new trailer strategy:
use 'death is the road to awe' from 'the fountain' to make trailer look badass.case in point:

I can't wait to see it.
When I was at summer camp as a kid, maybe 7 or 8 years old, a counselor told us the Mist story around the campfire late at night. It's surreal to remember that night, I wasn't the only one who had trouble sleeping from how great the story was told. It was so awesome.

wasn't there already a movie about this a couple years ago?

I believe upon seeing that big one walk by .... it was a wrap ...
It seemed hopeless to them ... I loved the grim ending

frank darabont has been trying to make his adaptation of the mist for years. it lacks solid actors he cast in shawshank redemption or even green mile but i am excited to see it based on that trailer. but then again, it just might be the music that makes it look so good.

stephen king doesn't really describe the bad things, he lets you imagine the appearance but they always ruin it in movie/tv show by making cgi creatures. i don't get why they do it, there's movies out there that never lets you see the bad thing.

yeah... what an ending... would have been better to not have the army show up and him just walk off into the mist (cue sequel)

if these are just the children of Shelob and not full-on demon shape-shifting spiders, then screw this fillum and its 'scariness'.

You chase a mouse it shites it and fucking sprints aways and if you trap it, it tries and tries to get away at every opportunity it doesn't even acknowledge that you could fuck it up at any point, this is how humans should be but we have no idea as we have all turned into pussies. I remember watching some video of a monkey escaping and runnign around a zoo and people were petrified there was about thirty people all crammed into a room through irational fear all they neede to do was band together and corral it back and or band together and tear it apart and then eat it's flesh in a tribal ritual that just happend naturally I call the tribe 'the goomcranthu people of zoomonia'.

I just hate how their is zero moral ambiguity in King's stories. Not very horrific in my words when the guy that deserves it gets his commupance and the good guy stays good...it's like fairy tales, not horror tales. I need moral ambiguity in mine to make the horror, you know, all horrific and shit...when good things happen to bad people and vice versa - just like real horror in the real world...

god punishes bad people and rewards good people. that's how it's always been. everyone knows that.

You guys never read "Misery"? Or this past summer's "Blaze"?
Beautiful, "bad" characters are the driving force of those stories.

misery is fantastic.

the book too.

OK...fine..I'll give you misery and the dead zone and I'll throw that 70's car flick in for nostalgas sake. Years back an ex-girlfriend made me read that whole nuclear disaster book of his...god was that fucking awful...I think NBC made a miniseries out of it or something...
