Form over Function

speaking of things like this, how much is ms suing astro studios and her design for?

I find it wonderful that a famous engineering school ends up with an overpriced, poorly engineered leaky roof. And now a messy lawsuit!
Especially MIT, since they're such self-important twats who think they're wonderful.

some douche I went to school with lists MIT as part of his education. He studied MIT's Open Course Ware.

oooh the irony

Excellent. Hate him... people hire Gehry for sculpture not architecture. Can't hope to utilize a fully functioning building when it comes to one of his projects.

i never liked his work. there's something about his building which lacks sensibilities completely.
i think his office hire a lot of MIT grads for programming crazy building applications.
it reminds me of the incident when he put American Culture Center in Paris out of it's business with annual 6million dollars building maintenance fee.
karma, i must say.

Yeah.
The guy used to make cheap cardboard chairs.
Now he's a big star, making things that leak.

People should be careful about criticizing before all the facts are in. Who did the CD's, the CA, etc., etc. are all crucial.
While I think the building is ugly, I do put Gehry near the top of the list of significant (and the buildings I've visted of his, a handful across the world, I love) architects of the last 100 years.
He's certainly done more for architecture than any living architect.
Oh, and them cardboard chairs are not cheap!
