You know those local channels that rotate static slides of community news and events? I get to make some look good. Anyone know the standard specs and format for those? Is it just like creating a ppt. template or should I be thinking hi-res? I'm clueless.

Id guess you cant do wrong with ntsc format, like 720x480 - run them through a broadcast safe filter (bright reds tend to be the most offensive), and you're good to go, I'd think.
