I prefer the original.

The original is good. It just becomes distorted when shrunk down.

Something from the logo 1 selection.

I'm confused - the original doesn't look like a logo and your re-dos don't bear any resemblance to the original?
What's it for? If it's a business, I don't think your efforts are very logo-like - they're all treading weird line between being far too complex and not very expressive.
If I were re-doing that logo, I'd take note of the abstract floral lines in the original and build around them - frankly, your 2-d flowers look messy and a bit amateur.
Sorry :(

Oops.. it's for a 'event designer/florist'. I'm blind.
Not trying to be a cock, but the above business-type demands a relatively 'classy' logo, which I think could be better achieved with using a flower form more along the lines of the original, along with a slightly less futuristic font.
Do you have free rein to do what you please? Have you explored any other forms beyond a pink flowerhead that perhaps describe 'seed', 'florist' and 'events' a bit more acutely?

The original is too intricate to use at any size smaller than what's shown and doesn't look like a logo at all, which is why I tried simplifying it.
I can see my versions may be too complex for a logo.
Thanks for the abstract suggestion-
I'll keep that in mind for another revision.

(Oct 30 07, 14:20)They really want to keep the concept of using a pink flower, specifically a peony.
My samples didn't use a peony so that will have to be changed anyway.
But something classier I think is the right idea. Thanks.

their current one is better than the two you made. they both look the same and dont desire much from the viewer.
Their original is beautiful, I would try to simplify that down so it does work at smaller sizes.
