don't get me wrong, I do like the blur effect, it's just having to drag each photo to advance that bothered me; believe me, your work is waaaaaaay beyond my Flash and AS capabilities. maybe I'm just "navigationally" lazy

yeah, but if you're flicking back and forth it is quicker that clicking on the left or right too... nice to see someone adding a bit of spice to something

Thank you, thank you!
Point5,
You only have to drag about 25 pixels to navigate which is barely half an inch of screen.
You can also navigate with the arrow keys or the mouse-wheel.
Try to tell me you're too lazy for that :)

it hiccups when you drag it.
the keyboard nav is much smoother
i would go ahead and change that cursor if you are wanting to target a everyone with mac or pc.
it does slow it down quite a bit.

Nice job! Is that image blur effect a function built into Flash these days?
For me, it's a bit much for just a picture gallery.. though I could really see the main image blur being re-sourced as a nice interactive nav for a site.
- Just noticed the under pointer blur effect - not really sure about that.
wer, it's all for the good.

do all the pictures have to fit in the same box size?

I didn't expect this thread to last this long. Glad to see the good ideas for it. I just liked it because even not as a photo gallery, I could see this fitting into a work portfolio really nicely.

detritus - nope, you have to code dynamic simulated moblur yourself.
Rand - the gallery is highly-customizeable so you can change to any size... just check out the link for this thread.
mg33 - i really do appreciate this post, thank you :)

i consider myself a designer, so my AS skills are slim to non-existent. this is amazing tho, easily customized and updated for a quick folio. superb.
