PAC 10 is the new SEC. Sorry bit it's true.

(Oct 25 07, 22:51)no, sorry but you're wrong

also, the B10 and SEC hands down have the best the tradition of having quality conferences year in and year out. B10 may be down this year, but they'll rebound. Anyone who thinks otherwise plain and simply doesn't have a fucking clue when it comes to college football. BIG12 is a distant third, then PAC10, then ACC, then the rest of hoodlums

once again 5 TEAMS IN THE PAC 10 WILL be ranked in the top 25 at seasons end. done and done.

let's not get too cocky about the PAC10 right now. 5 years ago everyone was saying what a joke USC was and how easy their schedule was with playing the "nobody" teams in the PAC10.

what about stanford?
- studderine0
big ten is a joke.
- studderine0
are you kidding me? ohio state is a joke. personally, i think oregon, usc, cal and asu would give them a run for their money. sec is a dissapointment.
- Point50
that's not a bad idea. a final four. of course, everyone would bitch about who should be in the final four, but at least it would give a the Boise State's of the world a chance at the title.
- BattleAxe0
give me a final four then, something ... i just cant stand the one loss and your whole season is done, or go undefeated and not be a champion a la Boise St. ....
8 teams 2 with a by ...

no, to wait to play a bowl game after you've already won the bid/conference etc. is not a long time, but to keep these kids playing in a sport that brutalizes the body for 15-17 weeks just to determine who will be the champion of this conference, that region or this coast, or overall national is just unreasonable. If there's a $250k yearly salary minimum, then sure, but otherwise, no way. it's crazy to me that some of these programs push for 13-14 games/season already.

dang, can you imagine how awesome that would be? college football playoffs?!?!?!?!
