I like to listen to internet radio a lot, and have been doing so on iTunes for quite some time now. However iTunes sucks CPU wise when I'm working with other heavy apps... iTunes slows everything down. My question is what else is there that is lightweight for a mac and has the same capabilities of listening to internet radio????

use quicktime directly.
just get the stream URL and go to:
apple + U (open stream)will play native on OS core and use far less CPU.

i suppose i could, however, i hate safari and tab browsing, because it stalls the flash player

iTunes.
lol
cause i got a lot of RAM. otherwise, i just open a browser (any of them) and then minimize that *one* window and let it play. none of the streams i listen to though, go through a flash player- they are direct mp-thrizzle....

ha. i know
but this pandora shit is fricken awesome. a friend of mine uses the VLC player to play his mp3's ( he's a video guy ) cause it's lighter weight however, i'm pretty sure that thing doesn't play internet radio

I'm currently building a skinned HTML player that plays mp3, wma, and ra... a bit of a minefield... got a lot of the real audio one down... now starting the windows media one...
