I see this sometimes lately:

doesn't look like a font. more like a layer on top of the type.

you could easily create that in photoshop. create a 10px by 10px document of the 45 degree stripes (make sure the stripes are in the right spot or else they wont match up right when they tile - you might have to play around with it for a minute). save that as a pattern. then apply that pattern to the layer in your other document (fill -> pattern).
