Hello Folks,
I am currently designing a self promo poster to send out to prospective clients, Which will have one side as a large image and the other as a portfolio, i.e images and maybe a line or two about the idea behinds the image.
My question is, as a designer would you rather see the folio side as:
1. a one side layed out as one a bit like a magazine layout or
2. a folded affair which acted like a book with the foled pages making up a sort of book.
hmmmm.... hope that makes some sense?

folder affair is more practical. i don't have to hold a giant sheet in my hand trying to look at the work. but then again, it would be cool to have a nice big poster.
but since the other side will be one big image anyway, i think folding it into a book makes sense. first people can go through the work and then unfold it and use the other side as a poster.

just suggestions:
make both sides poster-esqe. stick to a grid
if folded before sent, put individual pieces so that they fit within the folds
maybe stay to the same aspect ratio and orientation from front to back
use the same size type front to back
both of your ideas have their merit though and could easily work as each respective side, maybe one a personal look at you, the other a professional

i think its a great idea.... get a nice layout when folded that highlights your work, and the full unfolded poster layout on the back.... something that looks dope and that someone would want to hang on their wall....
great way to stay 'fresh' on their minds....

Thanks guys,
"if folded before sent, put individual pieces so that they fit within the folds"
I like this idea, makes it a bit more interesting. Seems to be fifty-fifty either way, and i am still undecieded, i guess the safest way is to have a play and see what both look like. I 'll post again when i have something to show.
Thanks again for the feedback

whoops meant to say actual size is twice that, plus not blurry.
Would you keep something like that if it popped through your door?
(the other side is a big image, but i am keeping it under wraps....)
