Hello hello. I'm having great difficulty finding a decent copy shop in the UK. No one can seem to get things right. I have a decent inkjet, Canon MP 780. It's pricey to run though. I'm thinking of getting a laser for around £200. Does anyone have comparative experience of laser / inkjet / xerox for printing images? I've heard laser for image aren't great? I'm trying to keep it below 3p per A4 sheet cost wise.
Cheers

laser is great for vector stuff and type...what would you be printing mostly?
inkjet is good for raster/photography...
a xerox would just be a photocopy, right?

we have a xerox phaser and it is great. fast, good color, and we've done mabe 50,000 pages in the past year and it's still chugging along just fine.
most budget lasers will cost more to fill with toner than the cost of the printer itself = not a good deal.

Yeah, I've since realised the price of toner, fook, would be cheaper to start smoking crack. I'm going to stick with the copy shop for just standard repros. Thing is the greys tend to come out too dark, their mid tones aren't great. I'll just use our inkjet for adding colour I think. Lasers are for Star Wars fans.
