USING Acrobat-PRO:how do I get the res info.
I want 300, I set up my distiller to 300DPI, am I good?

yes you are.
but, i *believe* (pleae confirm this and do not take my word for it) that, outside placed images which could vary in resolution, Acrobat's default dpi is 600. this is coming from a very dark place in the melon, from a time when i was balls-deep in dynamic pdf-generation..... silly time, but learned and insane amount about PDFs.

how 'bout the pdf optimiser?

I always thought that Distiller would default to indesign setting when exporting, 300dpi

I'm making out of Qrk. and the image is 300. and then I go print>i hit printers>save as PDF>Save>Print.
when I do the Acro.-optimizer in Pro and try to bring it down to 150 it says after can not resample iamegs in mask or sumthin like that. and file goes from 3.9MB to 3.8MB so I dont thing it re-res-es it to 150 just the other shit(eps, type & stuff...)
is what I'm thinking.
thanks for the help/clarifications!
