does anyone know a way of testing your site for it's ability to avoid those little fecking email address collecting monkeys out there on t'internet?
just how advanced are these things anyway? no matter what i do, this crap just keeps on coming in...!

I've been using this for a while, and it seems to work, i don't get anything.... but my sites don't get a lot of traffic either. So take yer chances I guess.

there is no 100% way to do it
just put out an email that you don't mind them getting and have it be an alias for something else so you can change it later
i do the whole encode it in hex thing
if you don't mind using js, there are things that make the link only work with javascript which will keep them out, but it sucks for accessibility
or get like 100 a day like me

check if the catch all function is on, i forgot and got hundreds a day for months... all quiet on the spamfront now

started using the hex way about a month ago but haven't noticed much of a drop. i guess once it's out there, it's there for a while being sold and bought on lists!
sheer volume of the stuff is starting to bring the mail server to its knees.
think i'll give the js stuff a crack tho.
