Looks nice, the only thing I really don't like is the right and left rounded edges of your nav bar.
Such a small detail, I know, but it's so small that it just seems it should be a perfect square edge, primarily because the button corners themselves are square, and not rounded, as well as your left column categories.

can we start by changing the logo?

Thanks, I'll nix the rounded edges. I guess I'm open to suggestions on the logo too.

What's your background, d_dot?
Like Mg33, I'm not digging the 'redundant' button curves, i also think you could do something cleverer with the right hand column - the black line break is a bit clumsy.
I really dislike the header photo you've gone for - it doesn't suit the curvy, curiously-aquatic Bello font logo and is.. well, too misshapen, photoshopped and dark.
Good stuff otherwise though!

Everything feels a bit large. Type, images, logo...

My background isn't much of a background really, I've been working for a magazine that caters to car dealers, which may explain my header image here :)
I'll look into a better visual separator for the right column. Any suggestions for it, or the header? Maybe something lighter? like an actual photo. That header is all Photoshop.

I would treat the logo more like the site, everything is watery/bubbly & then a flat logo with a stroke & script, they don't mesh well

Agree. The header would be a good starting point.

ok cool, so I'll tweak the logo a little to match the site more.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
