Can anyone make sense of these specs?
Full Page Trim Size:
5 1/2” x 8 1/2”Full Page Ad Image Area:
4 1/2” x 7 1/2”Full Page Ad Bleed Size:
5 3/4” x 8 3/4”If the image area is already set - and well within the edges, then why is there a bleed size? I can't figure this out...
Thanks.

(Sep 25 07, 09:39)the bleed is there to ensure that there are no white "slivers" when the page is trimmed.. specially with mags, its not an exact cut.

ya. for some reason i was just thinking that with the image size, they were restricting ALL artwork to that area - it didn't click that they were talking about the "safe zone".
thx
