Hi,
Been trying to access my mac at home from the mac here at work, tried using the share function and the ftp thing in the control panel with no joy. Anyone know if there's an easy way of setting this up?

You mean using File Sharing (AFP)?
In the Finder.. Go > Connect to Server... and enter:
afp://(ip address or domain here)but if your home mac is behind a router, you also have to setup port forwardign of port 548 to that particular mac..

and of course you need Personal File Sharing enabled on the mac at home

...and make sure your machine at home has not been issued a different IP from the time you recorded the address. just bring it up, as some DSL/broadband/ISPs' routers/modems issue new IPs on a determined cycle..... which would fark you.
