u mean those illustrations of the shock treatments OR our role in the shock doctrine?

Sorry. I mean does anybody have any thoughts on our social responsibility as designers in the bigger picture of all this. Also very nice illustrations and very nicely done.
Suppose Im just wondering what the general thinking amongst the design industry is about the part that we play in society.
Hope that makes sense. Just thought it was a good link for people to be aware of also. :)

of course we are guilty in way of this.
especially if you work advertising think.in fact everybody is part to blame and has responisbilty in this...put its almost instoppable to stop this machine as a small cog.
i do some pro bono work for some
peace and youth organizations to ease my consience ;)

i see what you're getting at.
well, to start, a very small percentage of designers can cause social reform through their work.
the majority of designers just work on crap to sell shit that people don't really need.
most likely, it would be an artistic endeavour brought about by a designers will to raise awareness.
at that point, their role is just as valid as anyone else's regardless of their occupation.
