Can anyone point me in the direction of examples of logos which are over the top with chunky golden sheens and maybe a bit of diamante classiness?
I'm thinking gaudy heavily illustrated product logos, rather than respectfully quiet corporate 3 colour jobbies.
My thankingyous in advance!
I hate you, neue.
*pulls another petal off daisy..
I love you, neue.
No, but really - I hate you.
In a friendly slap on the back kind of way.
But really, how dare you link to that thing?
heh, yes - I'm after good examples. Trying to work out just where the line is, so I can get as close as I can without overstepping it.
That 'Action' thing is fucking gorgeous - mostly irrelevant to what I need right now, though I'm going to investigate the sentiment of the love-in background.
Thanks too to Dublao7 (though I think you've sent me on a bit of a wild goose chase! :) and TommyO.
I've got one bookmarked at work. I'll try and find it tmrw and post it.
Thanks, Jersey - that's good bling, alright. Different from what I've got so far, so I'll give that glowing dotty style a try when I get up.
Time for bed.
Hey, pretty damn nice graphics, neue - were they done in PS or Illy? Or something else entirely? ('sjust that the resolution and quality feels very high) If Illy, do you have any good technique pointers?
I hadn't realised you were a bit of a graphics head too - do your talents know no bounds?
haha, flattery gets you everywhere... but yeah, PS was my first love in secondary school [after corel and pagemaker and a wee touch of 3D studio and MS-DOS programming]
as for those images, they're 90% PS, all images are composites from separate sources, the only AI elements were the arcs along with the type and graphics on the left...
Maybe you'd actually wanna collab on this sometime as it's personal [and forgotten] there's no time frame.. but your PS skills are far superior to mine and now that I look at these they need a lot of work to clean up...
I'm off to dinner, but hope this helped..
happy thanksgiving in advance
