another point i think we're missing here.
i happen to know 5 great leos, all fantastic friends and officers. none of which have had to use their gun, or their taser.
it's a shame good cops get a tarnished reputation by bad cops, but hey, it's 2007, everyone has a camcorder ready to capture police brutality but no one wants to capture the good stuff.
but still, aside from these 5 i hate cops. haha.

my boy worked at a nice restaurant here and the zuez chef goes " who want to get tazed for 50 bucks!"
short strory shorter... he got 100 bucks out of it
and now that dipshit its going to be all over tv and make a lot more money
- kerus0

i beleive his last words were "don't tazer me dude. don't tazer me" why tazer him ? remove the person from the room, there's five of them it'd be easy and he probably would have screamed less.

who knows what the taz guidelines say? Was it against policy? I don't know, but saying the cops broke the law may not be right either. Maybe it says when resisting arrest, they are allowed to use non-lethal force to subdue the subject.

if you hit on my wife, in front of me, repeatedly, fully expect to get a face full of my fist.
if you run wildly into an auditorium, ask really... a dumb fucking question, get hauled off, break away forcefully from cops, resist arrest, make a scene, raise your voice, resist arrest, fight off cops' advancements at trying to put cuffs on you... fully expect to get tasered.
why one would expect anything less is beyond me.
common sense.
possibly even a man law. will review man law booklet upon next miller lite binging session.

(Sep 18 07, 11:08)So I guess it's a good thing he didn't say "Don't shoot me in the face! Don't shoot me in the face!"
That was snark....

"And in Arizona, home to Taser International — the nation's largest maker and distributor of the devices, also known as Tasers — Attorney General Terry Goddard has launched an inquiry into the company's claims that the devices are a safe alternative to using guns to stop suspects."
So, a Taser is a replacement for a gun as suggested by the very manufacturer of the device. Should a gun have been used on a subdued perp held down by five officers? No? So why should it's "alternative"?
- M0NEYCIDE0
they should have made him kneel in front of Kerry and the rest of the room and tazered him execution style.
