talk to your printer- mixes over 200% can saturate the paper. also- offset can handle the densities better than a digital press

Thanks, guys. I know that Mr. Place had an interesting and unexpected mix in the old post. I'm curious...

(Sep 18 07, 04:37)what he said, i've had printers stipulate a maximum mix percentage before...

offset: 50/0/0/100
digital: 60/40/40/100if you send anything for offset with anything more than this, theres a good chance the printers will knock it back to 50/0/0/100 without you knowing anyways. the more ink, the longer it takes to dry.....especially on uncoated.

Alway a good idear to talk to the printer too. :)
- skt0
good advice. but you should probably talk to the printer.
- waynepixel0
You also have the option to pick black from the colour Crayon picker.

Printer is the man to talk too, or the printer mate, printer man. or even the printer itself, but I am not too sure where you would sand with the printer, maybe to the right would be a good idea, contact the printer.

alright, people. time for some project lowdown.
there is no printer involved. i am simply printing off old, scanned black and white line drawings on an inkjet. i need them to be dark and rich. so far the best results are coming from the 40c/100k combo.
thanks fer the feedback. storing in memory bank...
