Hi,
Our new site purely as a vehicle for latest showreel.
Demographic = Business types looking for 3D animation.
Comments greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

so so.
you should drop the copy at the beginning
- Digi_Lee0
only thing I don't like is the strapline "our work isn't so so".
To me it just doesn't sit right.
I'd lose it.the rest is good.

Thanks Guys.
Anymore?

for the love of god...
deinterlace your showreel video...NOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
- harlequino0
Yeah some of those clips need to be deinterlaced. Overall, the reel could use a better quality encoding. Gets really blotchy in places.
I tend to agree with the other comments about the copy in the "intro."
Otherwise, great work for that market. And I love the use of the Satie music. Pretty tired of techno and clever hip hop soundtracks on reels.

nice work.
the video definitely needs to be higher quality like everyone has been saying.in a day and age when you can get amazing quality stuff, thats what people will expect to see if you are claiming to be a cutting edge company.
if you are worried about filesize then maybe have a hi/lo bandwidth choice or a phat download available.

Thanks for all your coments guys.
From them we have deinterlaced the video now, upped the quality and got rid of the 'so so' line at the start.
Anymore more feed back?

lose the flash player skin and pop up a simple black and white progress bar then it'll look way better.

not really a site to crit now is there. work was a bit amature looking to me, are you a student?
- radar0
you should end the vid with "SO what do you think?"

(Sep 18 07, 06:38)He said up front that the market is corporate 3D work. Judging from the reel, it's for presentations, stuff like that. There is a huge market for that, and it is not the same pricing range as broadcast 3d and VFX.
As far as this market goes, it's some of the better work I've seen. Usually that stuff is unbearable.

fair enough... not really something i have seen a lot of.
there still isn't a site to crit though.

Hi skt,
thanks for your comments - we knew this would be an issue with some people. You are quite right; it isn't a 'site' by normal terms at all, it is as i introduced the broadcast... simply a vehicle for our showreel - as opposed to posting loads of CD's that the 'suits' we are targeting will generally bin.
The idea is to have a strong and memorable identity that will appeal to non-design savvy coporate types.
Though we do disagree with your amateur comment!
