Indesign Resizing..

I am trying to bring a document from 11 inches to 8.75 inches.
I know of the layout adjustments option, been playing with that, but everything is pretty haywire.
Anyone know any tricks/shortcuts for this?

Document setup, custom, maybe?

you can select everything, group it, and hold ctrl-option-shift to manually resize everything down proportionally, but this won't affect type size.

I guess the main problem is keeping type consistent. Even when I try to just resize only the document, some type stays the same and some gets smaller!

Have you tried converting the text to outlines? type> create outlines. Then grouping and resizing as mentioned previously. Of course, then you wont be able to edit the text...

if you just hold shift and apple when its grouped it should change the text size too.

Turn on all layers in document.
Select all.
work out the percentage change.
79.5 ish
constrain proportions, and change from 100 to 79.5 percent.
Then change the board size in document setup.hopefully.
