most cases of infanticide (and homicide) involve relatives... :(

Also, parents are always suspected, usually first. But I think they actually have some evidence this time...or found something and need to look into it.

she always seems a bit too fake when on camera with the (crocodile) tears.
I reckon something happend accidently eg: the girl fell or something and they didnt want to look like they did it so they just got rid of the body.
or a dingo ate it :P

I don't think the police would of arrested her lightly after they sued a newspaper for accusations

kinda reminds me of the peter falconio case where his girlfriend was accused after she had seemingly performed an impossible escape from the killer...

The case has definitely taken a strange turn.

You know...I always wondering about parents crying. Because what if you're not the type of person to cry much? Or you cried so much within the first few weeks? I was watching an interview on TV where the mother's child fell out of a window or something and died...about a month ago. She was calm, and didn't shed a tear. My dad thought it was totally weird. But then I thought about how I'd be in that situation, and I most likely wouldn't be emotional (on the outside), especially if it happened a month earlier.
As for the mother in this story, I can't comment since I haven't seen any interviews or anything from this story. But obviously "crocodile tears" are different from no tears at all.

aye, this wasn't obvious at all. eh?
still, fingers crossed it wasn't them, but the rumours have been flying around for ages. Doesn't mean they murdered her either, could be an accident and the most awful longwinded desperate cover up in memory.
this has all happened before, shame.

journalists are naught but a bunch of vultures.
an arguido is not a suspect as the media are telling - it is a judicial figure that places a person in the scope of an investigation, turning any enquiry directed to him/her admissible evidence in court. At the same time it raises the possibility on involvement, the early stages of the arguido status are mostly to protect the person of being misjudged. It is also a "weapon" the police uses when there is no admissible legal evidence to make formal accusations (such as in this case - a very good job was done in covering it up) forcing a confession by placing the person in a position of social scrutiny - which usually leads to tell-tale reactions from that person.

Innocent until proven guilty...
But yeah, I had my suspicions.
What? You mean you hadn't heard I'm a detective?
- bolus0
well in the end, it's easier for them to close the chapter if the parents know what happend to their child .....
but as raniator said. innocent till proven guilty
- chossy0
No charges brought against her :) thank christ for that.
