Hockey starts in a week!!!!

I know, it's crazy. People are already going nuts for preseason games, heh.
What's with all the injuries? McAmmond suffered a concussion yesterday from a dirty hit by Steve Downie (who has pretty much lost his chances of making the Flyers now, whoops!)
http://rotoworld.com/content/pla…Also, I laughed (no offense, Pens fans) when I read this:
"Sidney Crosby's tender groin is not a serious injury.
Crosby felt tightness in his groin at practice and did not want to take any chances. He missed three games last year with a groin pull and wants to ensure he is healthy to begin the season. He will be fine - the Penguins are merely being cautious."

The day I don't chuckle when I heard or read the word groin is the day I kill myself.
Especially, "tender groin," hahah.
He'll be fine. I'm sure there are people tenderly taking care of it.
I think I am going to throw 100 on the Pens to win the Cup this weekend. They are 10-1.

The Sens have a 7-0 record in the pre-season. Pretty damn good (only undefeated team), but they were lucky to win the last 2 against Montreal and Washington. I'm sure we'll get back to form soon. Hopefully.
Our 3rd goalie is awesome. Who knew.

It's about to happen :P

YAY HOCKEY!
YAY SENS!

So ... I have one ticket to the home opener for the Pens.
...
...
I also have someone coming out to visit me for the weekend.
Do I ... palm them off on someone else for a couple of hours having them been none the wiser, or do I actually slide this ticket off to someone else to see if I swap for a later game.
...
Is this even a question? It's the fucking home opener for Christ's sake.

yeah, hockey,
yeah, im finally out of debt.
yeah, i can finally pay up from last years pool.yeah sens...

Hrm, with the head-to-head it is a lot different.
But ... since we all made it to the playoffs I do not think it is going to matter at all what happens during the regular season in terms of winning and losing, and just in the playoffs*.
* Playoffs of the Regular Season - I imagine, much like Football, that Hockey's Fantasy Playoffs consist of the closing weeks of the regular season.
* Benches Crosby, Jagr, & Ovechkin to save his energy for said playoffs.

* Already slowly raises flag of protest based on scoring.

jaline you must be loving this

Of course I'm eating this up ;)
Heatley's awesome (although Alfredsson and Spezza are better during the playoffs, I don't care what anyone says) and if we can sign Spezza we're going to have a great team for at least a few more years.
flavor, I kind of agree about the scoring. I like that we're trying new things each pool, but at the same time it's annoying to get used to. The head-to-head scoring seems a bit more complicated than I'd like. It's more strategic. Anyway, it's too late now, and it's not that bad. Thanks for setting it up again, hiten.

PENS START TONITE!!!
I’M GOING TO THE HOME OPENER TOMORROW!!!
YAYAYAYAY!
- Jaline0
I don't understand the scoring..
I'm sure I would if I went through the rules more carefully, but right now I will stay in last place and just be glad the Sens are doing well ;)
- Jaline0
Oh...wait a second. So, basically, each night counts towards a win or a loss? But then why are there 10 games played?
- ********0
Yea, scoring is lost on me as well. Again.
Heh.
Pens are starting off a little slow, but they are starting to click.
- hiten0
yeah I also agree about the scoring, but someone suggested it so I went with it I still prefer the scoring from the last pool anyways at least I'm in first.

Oh, it is the entire week I just didn't notice ties.
... And other stuff, haha.
I guess I figured after the week, that scores would turn into simply 1 win or 1 loss.
As opposed to 5 ... say in my example.
I figured I would be 0-1 after week 1 ... not 3-5-2 is all. Know that going forward now though.

Jaline
(Oct 8 07, 05:58)You get win/loss/tie in each category for the week.
- Jaline0
Exactly, flavor. I thought I would win over hiten because by the end I had a better overall score. But I got beaten pretty badly.
